While in NYC I took in Picasso's Black and White exhibit at The Guggenheim, a museum I hadn't been to in years, remember THIS throwback Monday?
The exhibit is expressive, robust and void of color, as Picasso claimed,
Color weakens.
Thus, I present my vision of the Guggenheim in black, white and shades of gray....(with a bit of Central Park thrown in for good measure).
Black and White runs until January 23, 2013
The rainy weather in NYC one morning called for a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art where I spent a good 8 hours. I didn't know where to start it's so enourmous. At the end of the day after N met me there, we were also able to view the Stein Collection prior to it's opening on February 29.
At times I was more fascinated by the people at the museum than some of the works themselves, seen via Instagram 1 2 3.
"HENSE" (a little play on words), here is my inspiration.

Happens every time. Even just now. Can't get this out of my head when I say Grand Central Station.
Anyway, I'm happy to say I found the secret CORNERS at GCS; and it's amazing how the whispers really do travel! It's so interesting to think, too, that the APPLE store and logo would never have been as prominent at GCS as it is, now.
One of the greatest cities on Earth.
Couldn't help but hum the 30 Rock theme song when we got there. Also, I imagined the skating rink to be much bigger than it was. One day, would love to go back during the Christmas season.
I'm so excited about our upcoming NYC trip in February and looking forward to catching up with some NYC bloggers while I'm there - if you'd like to meet up, send me an email!
One of the last times I was in NYC was in May 2004 with my friend Alicia, whom you've already met on this blog before, here and here and most recently with the newest addtion to their family, here.
This NYC trip took place when we were still in university and goofing around (hence the image of me pretending to take a flip and the one of us freaking out on the plane).
All of these were taken with film. Alicia is a talented web and graphic designer, so credit goes to her for all the images of me.
Here's the first installment of what I'm calling Throwback Mondays.
