**Smita Jacob** is a freelance photographer based in Toronto.

She photographs what everyone wants to remember. She's hardly ever seen without a camera in hand and prefers being behind it, even when she's in front.

As a globe trotter and travel photographer, a few of her backdrops have been Boston, Toronto, Italy, Puerto Rico, Germany, Nova Scotia, Aruba, Seoul, Tokyo, Australia, Los Angeles, London, Greece, Amsterdam, Paris, Scotland, Hawaii, India, Banff, San Francisco, San Diego, New Orleans, Trinidad, Quebec City, Miami, Montreal, Vancouver and New York.

Smita was featured in Time Magazine as the photographer to follow in Massachusetts.

Prior to launching her photography company, Smita spent more than ten years in the animation industry with a Bachelors in Art & Art History from the University of Toronto and Post-Grad in computer animation from Sheridan College. She has worked on Emmy and Gemini Award winning television shows including Nick Jr.'s The Backyardigans and Peep and the Big Wide World. Other television credits include Justin Time, Macy's Christmas Special: Little Spirit , Super Why, Dudson, Naughty Naughty Pets, The Save Ums, Franny's Feet and Hey Joel.
