If you want an original panama hat, visit this friendly Mom and Pop-esque shop. In about 20 minutes and for $80, they will have you fitted for a hat. You get to write your own initials in pen on a piece of leather and they will still stick it into the hat for you.
India: Delhi: Night
The sights, sounds and smells of a New Delhi evening of shopping are intoxicating...first stop, South Extension, known as "SouthEx".
One Year Ago...2012
Happy 2013!
2012 FLEW by, didn't it? Thank you for following along with me on the blog as well as on Instagram and Twitter!
Cheers to a new year full of creating lasting memories and documenting them along the way...
Here's how 2012 panned out...
Most recently, I was honored to photograph this lil' girl. I visited Delhi and London and also photographed my fave family in Toronto.
There were many exciting journeys to Miami, Disney World, Block Island (which was the perfect backdrop for this), NYC, New Haven, Baltimore and Pennsylvania...
Throwback Monday: Amsterdam: Zaanse Schans Part II
Today's Throwback Monday post takes us back to Zaanse Schans for Part II.
Cute little shops with clogs galore! Remember the clog trend?
BFW2011: Daniela Corte
Boston Fashion Week ended with a bang on Friday September 30, when Daniela Corte's collection came down the runway. It was one of the most exciting events, the TENT was completely sold out and filled to the brim.
Here are my favourites!
BFW2011: Daniela Corte
The big finale of Boston Fashion Week took place on Friday September 30, when Daniela Corte took place on centre stage.
What a close! It was one of the most exciting events, the TENT was completely sold out and filled to the brim.
Here's just a teaser of the show to come. Whose shoes?
We were trying to figure out what the lady on the left was wearing. Anyone know?* The other two are the designers :) Smashing!
*(They are Charlotte Olympia colourblock satin pumps, thanks Luke who commented on Fashionhogger)
BFW2011: Carter Smith
On the final night of Boston Fashion Week, one of the most colourful shows took place in The Tent at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The Carter Smith show.
Carter Smith's Shibori process (Japanese dyeing technique by way of manipulating the fabric then dyeing it) results in a one of a kind, rich fabric, which is then sewn in a way that flatters every figure.
Here are some of my favourites.
BFW2011: Second Time Around
On Friday September 30, STAConsignment took place in The Tent at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Boston. STA is a premier consignment company featuring affordable, wearable yet high-end items in over 25 boutiques in the city. The show, with it's funky style, bright pops of colour and trendy looks was a huge hit with the audience. Here are my faves.
BFW2011: Jeff Lahens
It's been so much fun shooting in the press pit at Boston Fashion Week!
On Thursday September 29, Jeff Lahens' show took centre stage in The Tent at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Boston. The collection was his own as well as a collaboration with Uniform, Bobby from Boston and Drinkwaters. What an incredibly good time! Everyone was pumped; the tunes were upbeat and the models had PROPS! PROPS! Jeff Lahens is such a nice guy; we hung out with him for a bit in the lounge after the Carter Smith show on Friday night.

BFW2011: Avni Fashion
It’s been great shooting in Boston Fashion Week 2011!
I also ran into fellow Boston Bloggers "A Girl In Boston" and "Style N' Naina", so nice to have finally met you both in person. And can I say how much I loved those Mallory Musante shoes, too?

BFW2011: Lily & Migs
It's been great shooting in Boston Fashion Week 2011!
Last night, the Lily & Migs show took center stage in The Tent!
Wow.
I've heard chiffon is a difficult material to work with (thanks Project Runway!) so, watching these gorgeous, pleated, fitted, blousy, multiple tiered creations (in chiffon! silk! and georgette!) strutting down the runway was truly a delight. Such a beautiful collection and those models were rocking some amazing fish-tail braids!
Here, some of my favourite shots from before the show, during and after. It was great meeting Jenn of the Jenn & Lauren team behind Lily & Migs!

BOSTON FASHION WEEK (Sept 23 - 30 2011)
Stay tuned for more updates as they happen, here or on Fashionhogger.
Boston: Liberty Hotel
The Liberty Hotel is one of the most beautiful and unique hotels I've ever seen, because of its amazing history. It used to be the Charles Street Jail! It reopened in 2007 as a luxury hotel but has retained most of the historic structure, gorgeously. The restaurant Clink (aptly named) outlines, in granite, the shape of the original cells (grey blocks, below). Also impressive, is the cupola which, had been reduced in size, and then removed altogether in 1949, but has now been rebuilt to the original architect's design.
