Meet the Hamiltons, again!

If you'll remember, we did this shoot in April and it's already August and baby B is expected to arrive any day now, so I thought I'd re-post this one in honour (and anticipation) of baby B! Can't wait to meet you, lil' one! :)

We had a blast shooting with the Hamiltons this past Easter weekend! The first time we captured the family together, it was a Christmas  shoot and photohogger was just starting up!  We always love shooting the Hamiltons, especially Em who's a  ball of energy and a barrel of laughs. They're expecting their 2nd baby boy in August, so it was nice to get the whole family together for a happy spring shoot.  K,S&Em thanks for all your support! xoxo

The Hiddema’s

We did a shoot at the Music Garden by the water on Saturday with the lovely Hiddema's. You may remember them from their baby shower not too long ago! In fact their baby Jasmine is all of four months old now and is just adorable! Her beautiful laugh and cheery desposition kept us happy throughout the shoot (and into lunch); what a trooper. She didn't make a fuss or cry ONCE all day! The lovely P & A were a treat for us to capture. Thank you so much for all the support you two! We had so much fun with you guys and look forward to watching baby Jasmine grow! We hope you love these as much as we do! xo

Peter Pan

My niece and nephew share the same birthday and turned 10 and 2 respectively.

The fun was had at a carnival themed party!

Sock Monkey

My Mom made this adorable sock monkey for my niece's 10th birthday.

I told her to make me one, too!

Anokhi & Jasmine

Two of my closest friends K and A have been captured in their pregnancy stages by photohogger.

K's daughter Anokhi is 8 months old and full of energy, a complete joy to play with! Even at such a young age it's amazing to see the similarities she holds with her Mother:



A's daughter Jasmine is 2 months old and already displays the elegance of her Mother, complete with dainty fingers and an appreciation for gourmet meals.  Just look at how she holds onto the edge of the plate with her finger (while asleep!).

Baby Aaron

My friends C&A had a baby boy on November 20 2009 and I just recently had a chance to meet him! Never before have I seen such a poised young baby with the most squeezable cheeks, ever! Such a sweet baby boy; I'm proud of his parents! Good job guys ;)

Baby Shower

On Sunday November 29th, we threw a baby shower for our dear friend Alicia (and Peter).  They're expecting their bundle of joy in February of next year.  Since the baby's gender is going to be a surprise, we chose yellow and white as the colours for our Tea Party theme.

The beautiful tea favours were purchased from the Language of the Leaf tea company; thanks to Neeta and Natalie for doing such an incredible job on them!  There was mango mousse cake, decadent pastries, delicious treats and lots of tea and pink lemonade to be had.

And who knew avoiding the word "baby" would be so hard!

Baby Anokhi

You may remember K & J's maternity shoot from this past summer.  Well, K & J's baby, Anokhi turned 4 months old on November 24.

This past weekend I did a maternity shoot for my dear friends K&J whose baby will be arriving very soon; this summer! K is about 8 months along but you can hardly tell 'cause she's so petite and with J being so tall there was much hugging of the belly!

And although it was quite cold and blustery we managed to get a few shots outdoors. Here, a few of my faves:


The one below doesn't feature little baby KJ in it but I love that it shows the glow, love and pride on the soon-to-be-parents faces.

'Twas the nephew's 1st & niece's 9th birthday on May 17.

There was a magician, a donkey, gifts and cake

A bouncy castle, burgers and a pinata to shake

Lollies and candies and wrappers galore

Toy bats and balloons and don't you want more?

How 'bout ice cream and sprinkles and chocolate chips?

Don't you wish your birthdays were more like this?

Okay, so I'm no Dr. Seuss that's for certain, but I do like birthdays.  I suspect these guys do too.

Meet the Hamiltons

We were happy to spend the day with the Hamiltons for this shoot.  It was family Xmas card time and let's just say three furry, red hats made an appearance!  Em is a familiar face in my portrait portfolio and it's clear to see why.  Isn't he the cutest?!

A Peter Pan Baby Shower

We've now had two work baby showers at Peter Pan restaurant. A truly lovely place for them! The food is spectacular, consistently. Highly recommended for any type of gathering.
