Boston: Staycation at the Fairmont Copley Plaza

I was recently invited to a staycation at the Fairmont Copley Plaza over Memorial Day weekend, and it was exactly what the doctor ordered.

It was a chance to kick back and enjoy the view of Copley Square from this historic landmark hotel operating since 1912.

The hotel recently underwent extensive renovations, including to the fine dining restaurant Oak Long Bar and Kitchen, aptly named for it's long copper bar at 83 ft, the longest in North America.

We enjoyed hand-crafted cocktails (the martini's come with an added dose in a a bottle served inside a bucket) as well as farm-to-table fare. The "hearth baked bread" is a must try, as the honey butter it arrives with is made with the honey from the bees on their rooftop! The

Stay for brunch, and try the chocolate hazelnut, Bailey's Irish whiskey battered french toast - absolutely delectable! Also a must, are the pecan and honey morning buns, a serving which is large enough to share with four people. If you follow me on snapchat (hoggerandco) you would have seen that the other big item to try are their bloody mary's!

Say hi to resident dog Carly!

Thank you to the Fairmont Copley Plaza for the wonderful hospitality!
